About the Golden Isles, Georgia Area

We specialize in serving the Brunswick, St Simons Island area commonly known as the Golden Isles of Georgia.  We also serve the Brantley county and McIntosh county markets.

St Simons Island

The second largest and most developed of Georgia's barrier islands.  St Simons is aproximately 12 miles long and 3 miles wide (aproximately the same size as Manhattan Island).  St Simons is located in Glynn County.

Brunswick

Brunswick is the major urban and economic center in the southeast corner of Georgia. Located on the coast, it is approximately seventy-five miles south of Savannah.

It is home to one of Georgia's two deep-water ports and is the gateway to the Golden Isles, which lie to the east across the Atlantic Inter Coastal Waterway.

Sea Island

Sea Island is an internationally known resort and cottage colony located off the Georgia coast near St. Simons Island in Glynn County. The centerpiece of the resort is the Cloister, a Spanish-style hotel designed by Addison Mizner, which dates from 1928. One of a series of barrier islands, Sea Island is approximately five miles long and one and a half miles wide at its widest point. A causeway connects the island with St. Simons Island, its larger neighbor to the west.

Jekyll Island

Jekyll Island, at 5,700 acres, is the smallest of Georgia's barrier islands.

The island is located in Glynn County, just southeast of the city of Brunswick, south of St. Simons Island, and north of Cumberland Island.

The natural environment of Jekyll Island is a magnolia–live oak forest canopy with a forest floor dominated by palmetto and scrub oak. Mammals found on the island include white-tailed deer, raccoons, rabbits, and squirrels. The tidal creeks and streams of the salt marsh provide a variety of resources, including seasonal fish and shellfish.

Darien

Darien is the main town in McIntosh County. Located 15 minutes North of Brunswick.
